Specialised medical equipment CDT Carbomed for carboxytherapy is created by CARBOSSITERAPIA ITALIANA back in 1995, a company which is an international leader in the field of carboxytherapy. At the end of 2006 basic equipment is upgraded to CDT Evolution - equipment that complies with all safety requirements and certified for use in the EU under Directive 93/42, with possesses a unique opportunity to control warm, purity, quantity and flow rate of the gas, which provides patient comfort and eliminates pain during the procedure, allowing better and faster results. CDT Evolution is a therapeutic system with no-pain control, which uses standardized protocols and covers extremely wide range of aesthetic and medical problems in accordance with numerous clinical studies made by leading scientists worldwide.
INNOVA Estetic is pleased to use high-tech and unique CDT Evolution for different aesthetic and medical treatments for the first time in Bulgaria and in particular in the Bourgas city. The carboxytherapy is very effective and preferred therapy in the field of beauty and aesthetic procedures in the countries of Western Europe and appears to be one of the most important discoveries for the treatment of aesthetic problems together with Botox and dermal fillers that provide a new approach. Carboxytherapy is a safe, non-toxic and can not cause embolism even at high doses. The treatment consists in the subcutaneous administration of CO2 through local microinjections of very thin sterile needles. The purity, quantity, temperature and gas flow rate is controlled by CDT Evolution, the first equipment approved to operate in the European Community.
The carboxytherapy application in different areas of medicine is:
1. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
2. Dermatology
3. Aesthetic Medicine
4. Other medical applications:
Principle of operation
CO2 is a colorless and odorless gas that occurs naturally in the environment and in the human body as a result of combustion of organic matter in cellular respiration. It is produced in our body constantly, both at rest and in the active state. The carboxytherapy uses exactly this natural resource for the benefit of our body. The gas CO2 is the specific and meet certain criteria. The equipment controlling the flow rate of gas, the dose and the time of injection. The introduction of CO2 is carried out through a fine needle and a flexible tube disposable computerized system.
The main effect of the introduction of CO2 is hyperdistensis of subcutaneous tissue, which can be observed by subcutaneous emphysema allocated a small area around the point of application. This can lead to the appearance of erythema, accompanied by a feeling of warmth. Patients immediately feel the effects of vascular activity of CO2, which causes the release of substances such as serotonin, histamine and catecholamine release. These substances, in turn, activate beta-adrenergic receptors, in particular, beta-2, which stimulate lipolysis in adjacent tissues. After the injection of CO2, the body recognizes a local imbalance of oxygen and thus in order to compensate for this situation oxyhaemoglobin increasing the localized flow of O2, which causes vasodilation and an increase in oxygen level in the tissue. In turn, the hemoglobin is associated with the CO2, which is introduced into the body and allows oxygen to the tissues, leading to a further improvement of the local oxygenation. This leads to the increase of the blood flow rate and the opening of the capillaries, which in the normal state are closed. Another reaction in the skin in response to the introduction of CO2 is the lowering of the pH of the tissues with the production of NO, which together with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) leads to capillary vasodilatation of arterioles with consequent improvement of the microcirculation, an increase in flow and other food kislirod substances in the treated tissue. The change in pH triggers the release of various chemical compounds that activate and promote cell migration of fibroblasts, followed by stimulation of the healing process. In this process are formed and reorganize collagen and elastin fibers. Carboxytherapy is a procedure that must be practiced and administered by a qualified doctor. Like any medical procedure requires special training as a combination of appropriate equipment in the hands of well-trained and experienced physician ensures achieving excellent results without alternative.
